Alliance for Data, Evaluation, and Policy Training (ADEPT) launch in São Paulo

The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) and Community Jameel launch the Alliance for Data, Evaluation, and Policy Training (ADEPT) at Insper in São Paulo, Brazil.
ADEPT is a global network of campuses and partners committed to training the next generation of researchers and decision-makers in policy evaluation and data analysis.
Bringing together researchers, policymakers and institutional partners, the launch event highlights ADEPT’s mission, objectives and the importance of building local capacity for evidence-based decision-making.
With remarks by Professor Esther Duflo, co-founder and co-director of J-PAL and 2019 Nobel laureate in economics, and other speakers, a panel discusses ADEPT’s approach to training, partnerships with academic and policy institutions and its role in strengthening the use of rigorous evidence to inform policy worldwide.
This event also marks Insper’s membership of ADEPT and features a second panel discussing ADEPT’s relevance in the region and the diversity of alliance partners.
