Basma Hamza

Basma Hamza is a Programmes Officer at Community Jameel, an independent, global organisation advancing science and learning for communities to thrive.

Prior to joining Community Jameel, Basma worked across several domains in the finance industry, from structuring loans in banking to supporting technology startups as a venture capital analyst, working at STV Capital in Riyadh and the Dubai Future District Fund in Dubai. She has also started working with early-stage startups on growth and product in her spare time.

Basma holds a double major in Political Economy (BA) and Environmental Economics (BS) from UC Berkeley. As part of her interest in technology, she later studied programming and data science.
