The Nile is a transboundary river that flows between several countries, however, here is no a recognised treaty on how to share its waters. Kenneth Strzepek, co-project lead of the Jameel Index for Food Trade and Vulnerability and member of UNU-WIDER, the University of Colorado and Harvard Kennedy School, has been involved in an international effort to do a non-partisan and un-biased analysis of this situation. His research considers not only water-related matters, but also the economic issues involved for the countries in reaching a negotiated settlement.
