Per Urlaub is director of Global Languages at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he teaches German. His research focuses on the impact of technology on language acquisition, language usage, literacy and intercultural development.

Per was previously a faculty member at the University of Texas at Austin and Middlebury College, where he was associate dean of Language Schools.

Per obtained a PhD from Stanford University.
