MIT Abdul Latif World Education Lab (J-WEL)

The world faces a major challenge adapting to automation, globalisation, unemployment, and the global refugee crisis, rapidly altering the education paradigm. MIT and Community Jameel cofounded the MIT Jameel World Education Lab (J-WEL) in 2017 to spark a global renaissance in education. J-WEL promotes excellence and transformation in education at MIT and globally, engaging educators, technologists, policymakers, societal leaders, employers, and employees through online and in-person collaborations, workshops, research, and events.
